18 "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."
Psalm 34:18
Our church is expressing heartfelt sympathies and love to the families hurt by the recent acts of violence in Tumble Ridge that led to the deaths of many, including innocent children. This is a difficult time for everyone. We offer our prayers and thoughts to our God, who gives comfort to the grieving.
The Bible says that God is good and worthy of our trust, regardless of the season in life. God draws near to the humble and repentant, restoring their souls. He is close to those who are experiencing deep emotional pain, offering comfort and peace to those whose hearts are broken. He is intimately involved in the lives of those who put their trust in Him. He deeply cares for His people, and He is with them in their moments of grief.
To the families whose hearts are broken by the events that unfolded in Tumbler Ridge, and to everyone reading this blog, I pray that God would help you find comfort and peace in these trying times.
