When God Fights Our Battles
Exodus 14:1-14
For mere mortals like us, life is not easy. For Christians, this statement is probably more true than for someone who does not honor God. Not only do we deal with the same problems unbelievers are facing, but we also have a sinful nature to subdue every day. Anyone serious about following Christ would agree that overcoming sin is a significant challenge.
Then, again, we are not exempt from life's trials. We face sickness, tragedies, loss—just like everybody else. When we’re hit by problems here and there, and when it seems like there is no way of escape, what do we do? Should we give in to fear and do nothing, since we can't change the situation anyway? Or should we practice our faith and trust God to fight our battles? What do we mean when we say, "God is fighting my battles?"
