The Role of Gratitude in the Christian Life

1 Samuel 2:1-5

Gratitude is a core Christian virtue. It is an essential response to God's goodness. We thank God when we receive His blessings; we should thank Him when He protects us from harm. We should have no problem doing that. However, I'd like to argue that our gratitude should be combined with other virtues to help us more effectively express our recognition of who God is and what He does.
