God's Goodness in Trying Times

Acts 7:9-16

Faith is tested in times of difficulty. In such situations, our knowledge of God and understanding of His nature determine whether or not we continue to trust in Him. While some people believe that God's will is for them to be always safe, healthy, and wealthy, biblical accounts and personal experience say otherwise: sometimes, even godly people suffer. So, when we are in the midst of pain and suffering, how do we avoid being embittered and discouraged?
